The last few days have been a flurry of activities for Conviva as we made yet another pilgrimage to Amsterdam for IBC, the premier global destination for the electronic media and entertainment industry. From the exclusive VIP dinner we hosted, to the time we spent with our customers and partners at the booth, to Conviva’s Streaming Scooter Squad happily exploring the city, it was a red-letter event, for sure.

But what makes IBC extra special for us this year is the recognition Conviva received from the CSI Awards, which are among the most prestigious and competitive technology awards in the industry. Amid tight competition, Conviva Precision won as Best Monitoring or Network Management Solution.
Conviva Precision emerged on top because it’s the only solution that enables OTT TV broadcasters and operators to effectively address consumers’ increasing demand for a TV-like video viewing experience from their plethora of devices. Digging deeper into the issue, while CDNs, load balancing software and Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) algorithms have traditionally delivered great success, they are no longer adequate for the job because of:
